Wide sintered ULIP pads with ZEE M640 shape

The ULIP Sintered pair has bronze-colored brackets, a wide friction compound, and top mounting lugs. The entire outline of the pad measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, and the thickness is 4.1 mm.

The hole for the safety pin has a diameter of approx. 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of the existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of equipment.

Compatibility condition: Shimano BR-MT420 caliper installed. Also compare the shape to D01S/D02S/D03S family pads.

Brake Compound

Sintered metal compound generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, it can be noisier and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that allows for metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, or if there is uneven wear or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manufacturer's instructions.
  • Remove the safety pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety pin. Do not lubricate friction surfaces.
  • Check for free wheel rotation and brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
