The hole for the retaining pin has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before choosing, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of equipment.

Brake compound

Sintered metal compound generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, it can be noisier and wear out the disc more. Use a disc that allows for metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake instructions.
• Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. After following the procedure for your caliper, clear space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the pin. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check the free rotation of the wheel and the operation of the lever. Break in the new pads with several gradual slowdowns in a safe place, without locking the wheel.
