Brake lining

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if there is poor braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. According to the procedure for your caliper, prepare the space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the free rotation of the wheel and the operation of the lever. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
