The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before choosing, please compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bicycles with different model years of equipment.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be noisier and cause more wear on the rotor. Use a rotor that is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel rotation and brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheels.
