The ULIP Sintered brake pads feature a top circular tab and a wide rectangular friction surface. The dimensions of each pad are approx. 32.1 × 29.9 × 4.1 mm, and the opening for the retaining pin is 3.8 mm.

The pair is completed by a spring and a cotter pin. Before replacement, check the exact model of the installed caliper and use a brake disc that allows metal lining.

Brake lining

Sintered metal lining generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be noisier and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that allows metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Following the procedure for your caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
