The safety pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different equipment model years.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they can be louder and cause more disc wear. Use a disc compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they become contaminated. Always replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the safety clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
