The hole for the retaining clip has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and a split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper code and the shape of the existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of equipment.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heating and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be louder and wear out the disc more. Use a disc that is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads when braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum permitted thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare space for the new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check that the wheel spins freely and the lever operates correctly. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
