The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored brackets, a wide friction pad, and two top mounting tabs. The overall outline of the pad measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The safety pin opening is approximately 3.4 mm in diameter; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper marking and the shape of existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of equipment.

Compatibility condition: installed Shimano BR-MT420 caliper. Also compare with the pad shape of the D01S/D02S/D03S family.

Brake compound

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, they can be louder and cause more wear on the disc. Use a disc that allows metallic pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads for poor braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the safety pin and the old pair. After the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, new pair, and safety pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the free rotation of the wheel and the operation of the lever. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
