ULIP wide sintered pads with ZEE M640 shape

The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored carriers, a wide friction surface, and upper mounting tabs. The overall pad outline measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The hole for the retaining pin is approximately 3.4 mm in diameter; spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bicycles with different model year equipment.

Compatibility condition: installed Shimano BR-M7120 caliper. Also compare the D01S/D02S/D03S family pad shape.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally perform well under heat and in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be noisier and wear the disc faster. Use a disc rotor compatible with metallic pads.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if braking is poor, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum thickness in the brake manual.
  • Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
  • Check the wheel's free rotation and brake lever function. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
