Replacing and aligning the rotor

• Replace the rotor if you notice cracks, permanent deformation, or wear below the minimum thickness. If you hear rubbing, first check the brake caliper alignment.
• Clean the hub mounting surface and install the rotor in the marked direction of rotation. Tighten the bolts gradually in a cross pattern to the specified torque.
• Keep the braking surface clean and free of oil. After assembly, check for free wheel rotation and braking performance; a new rotor and pads require a proper bedding-in period.
