Dual friction area for compatible Magura caliper

Each black backing plate features two separate friction areas and an extended upper tab. This shape is intended for compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers.

  • Model: Haibike HYBE 10.5.
  • Black backing plates with two separate friction material surfaces on each.
  • Shape for Magura MT5/MT7.

Before choosing, check the actual brake on the vehicle. The pads match the specified caliper shape even when used in a compatible upgrade, but they are not an automatic replacement for pads in a stock brake system of another brand.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with the appropriate pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake compound

The friction compound presses against the disc, while the backing holds it in the correct position in the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the retaining pin and wheel rotation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if braking performance drops, wear is uneven, or if they are contaminated. Always replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
  • Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. Follow your caliper's procedure to prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
  • Check wheel rotation and lever feel. Break in the new pads by performing several gradual decelerations in a safe area without locking the wheel.
