Dual friction area for Magura caliper compatibility

Each black backing plate features two separate friction areas and an extended upper tab. This shape is designed for compatibility with Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers.

  • Black backing plates with two separate pad surfaces on each.
  • Shape for Magura MT5/MT7.

Before choosing, check the actual brake on your vehicle. These pads match the specified caliper shape even for appropriate upgrades, but they are not an automatic replacement for pads from stock brakes of other brands.

For use only with Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with the corresponding pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad

The friction material presses against the disc, while the backing plate holds it in the correct position within the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, check the locking pin and wheel rotation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if you notice decreased braking power, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
  • Remove the locking pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your specific caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the locking pin. Do not grease friction surfaces.
  • Check wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual slows in a safe area without locking the wheels.
