The safety pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of components.

Brake lining

Sintered metal lining generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, it may be noisier and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the safety clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the free rotation of the wheel and the operation of the brake lever. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
