The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored backing plates, a wide friction surface, and upper mounting tabs. The overall pad contour measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approx. 3.4 mm; spring and cotter pin are included. Before choosing, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of the existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of components.

Compatibility condition: installed Shimano BR-MT420 caliper. Also compare the D01S/D02S/D03S pad family shape.

Brake lining

Sintered metal linings generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, they may be louder and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, or in case of uneven wear or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old set. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new set, and the clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads by performing several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
