The ULIP Sintered pair has bronze-colored backing plates, a wide friction surface, and top mounting tabs. The overall outline of the pad measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper model and the shape of existing pads, especially for bicycles with different model years of equipment.

Compatibility condition: installed Shimano BR-MT420 caliper. Also compare with the shape of D01S/D02S/D03S family pads.

Brake compound

Sintered metal compound generally handles heat well and wears well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they can be noisier and cause more rotor wear. Use a rotor compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, uneven wear occurs, or if they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the safety pin and the old pair. Prepare space for the new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
