The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored backing plates, a wide friction material, and top mounting tabs. The overall pad contour measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, please compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of components.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be noisier and cause more wear on the disc. Use a disc compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if you experience poor braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowable thickness in the brake manufacturer's manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare space for the new pads according to your caliper procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel rotation and brake lever feel. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area without locking the wheel.
