The locking pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before choosing, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years of equipment.

Brake pad

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic ones, they can be louder and cause more wear to the disc. Use a disc that allows for metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Change both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the locking pin and the old pair. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the locking pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check that the wheel spins freely and that the lever operates correctly. Bed in the new pads by making several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
