The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bicycles with different model years of equipment.

Brake compound

Sintered metal compound generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, it may be louder and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Always replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to your caliper procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check that the wheel spins freely and that the lever functions correctly. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
